We have shipped well over 10 THOUSAND uninsured headsets during the past few years and know of only THREE that have been lost in transit. Based on this success for ALL carriers, it is the best insurance to make sure you have the proper, legible ship to and return addresses on the package. If you feel you need special consideration or a waiver to this rule, please call first and let us negotiate options with you.
USA Customers
International Customers
- Complete same steps 1 - 5 above
- You MUST include a set of Harmonized (HTS) codes** for customs identification. The First or PRIMARY HTS code must be marked in the APPROPRIATE PRIMARY section of your customs form.
The primary HTS code is:
8518.30.2000 Exemption code "C"
- You must also use the SECONDARY HTS CODE :
9801.00.1012
**The Harmonized Code system or HTS system is a standardized product identification. Governments, im-exporters and brokers use these codes to identify the contents of packages as they pass from one country to another. It is ultimately used for the purposes of assessing and collecting taxes for each country. The code "8518.30.2000" shown above specifies that the contents are headphones. The Exemption Code "C" indicates that your headsets are used specifically for Civil Aeronatics and therefore, are exempt from the tarriffs associated with typical headphones (excluding brokerage fees and VAT which you MUST pay on new items).
The Secondary Code, 9801.00.1012 indicates that the headsets are being returned for some other non-taxable service such as a repair, warranty or return. Please use BOTH HTS codes so we don't have to be subject to another tax when we receive you returns for any reason. It may help to also write cleary on the package "warranty return to manufacturer" to help streamline the process.
